      🏕️ Fun Fact Friday 🏕️ Stretching 2,650 miles, the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is one of the longest and most breathtaking trails in the world. Each year, over 1 million hikers take on its rugged terrain, facing both physical and mental challenges—much like the transformative journey of pregnancy and childbirth. 🌿🏃‍♀️ This 30 day fundraising challenge is its own practice in perseverance and stamina -- both to consistently be active but also to stay motivated in your fundraising efforts. Pushing yourself every day take dedication, but the impact you're making is worth it. After just 4 days nearly $4,000 has been raised to support AABC Foundation! That is incredible!       Hello, racers! Today marks the first day of our Spring It On! Challenge, and we couldn’t be more excited to kick things off with such an amazing group of participants. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has already started logging miles and raising funds—you are making a real impact! This challenge is about more than just miles—it’s about community. We encourage you to use this message board to cheer each other on, share updates from your races, and post photos along the way! Whether it’s your first race or your hundredth, we’re all in this together, and your stories will inspire and motivate others.     This April, the AABC Foundation is saying Spring It On!  Now in our 7th year, the Spring It On! AABCF Challenge is a virtual all-activity race where participants from all over the U.S. can participate and see their progress on our race map. This year, our route will take us along the Pacific Crest Trail in Oregon. All fitness levels are welcome! This is an inclusive event, and many types of activities can count towards your mileage.

    Support of midwifery-led birth centers is critical more than ever. Join us as we raise funds to advance this model and improve maternity care in the U.S. This is a fun, community-building fundraising event! Our goal is to collectively raise $17,500 to support the AABC Foundation's grant and scholarship programs. During the month of April track your activity and ask friends/family to sponsor you in the race.

    Registration
    For just $35, you can join the Spring It On! challenge and set up your own fundraising page. Team up with friends and family to multiply your impact! Every participant will receive a personalized digital bib and access to real-time leaderboards, where you can compete for most miles logged and most donations raised.

    Exercise anywhere you want. Then log the activity and see your avatar move across the route. Catch a Google Street View of the new virtual locale, then cheer your real fellow racers! Share your bib on social media! Brag about your streaks or longest mileage!

    We've got racers all over the globe! So to keep everyone on the same page, we've come up with some handy guidelines:

    1. Watch this video of Racery pro tips.

    2. Complete your bio. Include #groups to better track friends or colleagues.

    3. Update your passcode in settings.

    4. If your race includes activity conversions, we try to keep the playing field level, and conversions are based on effort, ie 1 hour cycling = ~1 hour swimming = ~1 hour tennis. Please log cycling minutes, not miles.

    5. To delete a log, click its gear on the right.

    6. Don’t like one type of email? Unsubscribe at the bottom of that email.

    7. If you post on social media, please include #raceryapp so we can find you!

    8. We rely on the honor system. You don't have to use a device to prove your miles, a good map or watch suffices.

    9. Only log intentional exercise please.

    10. Attribute your exercise to the appropriate day—don't combine workouts from multiple days.

    11. Only backdate logs for a race up to two weeks in the past.

    12. Activities submitted after the race ends will not count toward race leaderboards.
