Trying to get around the course twice with much less time to work out than I usually have. Congrats to all for great efforts.

      Good luck!
@LindaB thanks! 3 miles to go, and I've completed the course twice. On the agenda for tomorrow!

I didn't get to log my activity for 4/3 and 4/4/19 can I go back and add or do I add those steps to today?
      1
Hi Pat! You can change the date when you log activity, so yes! You can make a log for 4/3 and 4/4 without combining them all. :]

Where can I see all that I have logged without going through everyone else's activity? (not that that isn't fun and all).

Woah! Looks like we'll have our first Spring It On finishers either today or tomorrow! Way to go Marnie, Diana, and Susan!

      Shout out to those of us waiting for the weekend to break a sweat! :}

I logged activity, but my total for today shows as 0.0. Ideas?
      1
Hi Moira, I'm thinking you figured it out; you used steps in your first log, and miles when you re-logged it. Let us know if you're still having trouble though! :]

This April, the AABC Foundation is saying Spring It On! Join us on a virtual marathon through the DC area as we fund raise to advance the birth center model and improve maternity care in the U.S.

The virtual race starts on April 1st and youā€™ll have until the end of the month to complete the 26.2 mile route, meaning you don't need to run a full marathon in one go; you can do a mile a day or whatever suits you best.Ā  A virtual race can be completed from any location you choose; at the gym, walking the dog, or even at another race.Ā  This is an all-exercise race, so you can participate in other physical activities, like cycling, yoga, HIIT training, or whatever gets you active to get your ā€˜milesā€™ in.Ā  Read more about the Race Guidelines below.Ā

Sign up as a racer, and as you move along the route, youā€™ll pass different points of interest; many with significance for the birth center model of care.Ā  Click on each red pindrop to read about that location and our sponsors.

This virtual marathon will begin at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and visit points of interest in the Smithsonian area, before heading into northern Virginia to visit a few parks and BirthCare & Womenā€™s Health in Alexandria.Ā  The route then dives into downtown D.C. going east to Community of Hope's Family Health and Birth Center, then back to the National Mall.Ā  But since this is a virtual race, you never have to step foot in D.C. itself!Ā Ā

If you finish the route with time to spare, keep logging miles and run the route again! Challenge yourself!

Want another challenge? Reach out to your family, friends, co-workers, peers, and more to back you in the race by making a contribution. Be the most-backed racer and raise the most funds!

Check out our Racer Resources to learn about Groups, the Spring It On Tee, and the Racery App.

    RACE GUIDELINES:

    1. We rely on the honor system. You don't have to use a device to prove your miles or minutes.

    2. No all-day step counting, please use intentional miles. Please attribute your activity to the appropriate day -- don't combine mileage from multiple days.

3,. On top of running/walking -- LOTS of intentional activity -- dancing, swimming, yoga-ing, and many more -- can be converted to miles. Please select one of the general activity options (moderate of vigorous) and input how many minutes you did that activity. The software will automatically convert to running/walking miles.

4, No activity completed before 4/1/19 counts towards this challenge! Only mileage added before the challenge officially closes on 5/1/19 23:59:59 EST will count in the leaderboards.

    5. If you finish the route early, keep logging to become Ultramarathoners! An Ultra leaderboard appears below the marathon leaderboard. Keep that competition alive right up to very end!

    6. Last but not least, it's more fun if you log activities as part of a group, comparing progress with friends and colleagues. With thousands of people participating in this yearā€™s event joining a group can make a big difference. Go to the Athletes tab , click the group youā€™d like to join, and select ā€œrace with this group.ā€ (If you donā€™t see a group you want to join, read this blog post about creating a new group that others can jump into!)
